Steve Larkin is a writer, performer, educator, musician, and promoter with over 20 years professional experience.
He is a former international poetry slam champion, a university lecturer in poetry, storytelling and creative writing, the founder and president Hammer & Tongue (the UK’s premier poetry slam and professional touring network), and a firm favourite with fringe festival and live literature audiences worldwide.
Known for fronting klezmer/ska band Inflatable Buddha and for high octane entertaining live poetry performances he has in recent years turned his attention to solo story-arc’d shows, noted for their enthralling stories and crowd-pleasing performance poetry pieces.
In 2010 he was nominated for Oxford Professor of Poetry.
